Victor Crowley the next big thing?

Okay so it started with Dracula and Frankenstein etc then Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers took over. Just wondering do you think Victor Crowley will be the next horror icon remembered for years to come?

I hope to all hell that yes, he joins the ranks of those classic villains. However in reality, I don't think he will. Blame the distribution if anything, but he as a character is easily up there with the greats...

"dude i dont care i just love this movie you guys have a realy taste in movies what wrong with you"

I always thought The Creeper from Jeepers Creepers would be a new horror icon and the 00's version like Freddy/Jason 80's etc. After the director got done for child abuse I thought guess not but another movie (direct by the same director) is on the way and maybe a fourth... Jigsaw became the new guy from the SAW series.
Maybe Victor (with horror people/legends involved) has a chance.

No.

This movie came out in 2006 and I just heard about this movie today. I would say a big fat NO. Victor Crowley sounds like a soap opera character on the Bold and the Beautiful.

No Way he's just some ghost

Best slasher of all time. You heard it here first. Scream is right there too. Dont *beep* with Victor Crowley.

reply

Definitely not...

Nope.

He doesn't have a good schtick even. The backwoods hillbilly killer has been done to death several times.

That and he's pretty much just Jason with his mask off.

That might be why I like him. I adore Jason.😌

(helps that he's played by Kane Hodder)

I only recently caught up with all 3 and became an instant fan. I think the movies will grow in appreciation as more people hear about them and give them a shot. They have likable characters, crazy inventive kills and the whole series is filled with a reverence for old school 80's horror without being distracting. I had a blast with these unlike other modern horror movies including most of the remakes. This series has spark and a passion behind it that comes through in each one. I'd love to see a 4th.

No, not at all. The film and character have to have some sort of originality to begin with, which this didn't.

Victor Crowley was more of a fun homage to 70's and especially 80's slashers and there is no way he could ever be on the same level as Michael, Jason, Freddy etc.

I personally thought the film was total garbage except for a couple of very brutal gore effects, especially when the woman gets her head literally torn in two.
