Very realistic, well acted, and well written. By far my 2 fav. characters of TCM :) Especially Dean! (Taylor Handley's gorgeous too!)
Chrissie and Bailey were great as well, but nowhere near as good as the brothers!

Dean Eric and Holden are my favorite heroes in this. Chrisse is one of the best final girls in the series IMO <3 Erin from the remake tops my list though :)
The Beginning will always be my next favorite after the original because of Sheriff Hoyt/Charlie Hewitt, one of the best villains in the franchise and superbly played by R. LEE Ermy!
I hated Erin, Michelle from 3 is my fav! Chrissie's up there though (along with Stretch)
Dean and Eric are my 2 favs. of the franchise, personally

I'd have much rather seen Dean and Eric as the main characters than Chrissie. By far the best victims TCM has ever had

Dean was okay. I liked Eric alot more; but that could be because its Matt Bomer, and hes *beep* hot lol.
I'd easily put both as the two best characters of the series (at least for the victims) Most developed and best acted

I agree, Dean and Eric were good characters,with a good story and the acting of Matt and Taylor was great too.
For me the girls were ok,but I did not feel so much intensity as with Eric and Dean.The way Eric stood up for Dean pretending he was Dean so Hoyt did not hurt his brother,and how he stood up to Hoyt so Dean ran away,showed me Eric was a hero and truly loved his brother,despite of the fact he wanted Dean went to Vietnam.At the beginning I felt Eric was selfish letting Dean go to that hell,knowing he had suffered there,but when the things got bad he was deffending his brother until the last second.
I liked to see the strong bond they had.
Plus,the boys did not seem to me the typical stupid group of teens who only think of sex, beers and make bad jokes.Dean and Eric seemed to me serious characters,with presence,feelings..they were not empty characters without anything to offer but stupidity.Dean was sweet and Eric the fighter,I could see these characters had something else than other characters from previous Texas movies had not.
I really enjoyed with Eric and Dean.They gave a new image to the victims of these movies,not portraying themselves as drunk fools but adult people who stand up to a nightmare.
