Can 'real life' interfere?

This movie is so stupid, I could write pages upon pages and never finish everything I have against this demonic claptrap, but just to point out one thing..

..when this KAREN (nice name choice) writes with her GOD-MODE powers, can 'life' interfere?

What if the bus was late, but Karen wrote it to be on time? Which would win?

What if there's an earthquake, that displaces characters Karen needs to be somewhere at a given time, so now they can't be?

How about simply slipping and falling? Spontanious fainting? Other people doing something unexpected, like grabbing the phone before he has finished dialing or pushing him away?

We all know that in life, almost ANYTHING can happen when we are trying to do something, and that 'anything' can easily foil all our plans. We can lose our wallets or forget our keys, we can lock ourselves out of our apartments or cars, we can be robbed or beaten up, etc.

Other people can cause unexpected delays in myriad of ways. What if something like this happens, can the writing simply OVERRULE EVERYTHING ELSE?

For example, Karen writes that Harold runs from the grocery store to the bus stop and just barely catches the bus.

However, in real life, there could be a thunderstorm, and Harold would be struck by a lightning, almost killing him and putting him in coma for a week.

Which would win, the lightning or Karen's writing? I mean, she can't think of EVERYTHING, so does reality really CONFORM in the smallest detail to her writing to make sure it happens, or is there still the 'likelihood' and 'chance' that always follow us in real life?

Never mind, I am sure the writers of this movie didn't put this much thought into this crap.
