Nick and Lizzie were a better couple

Hello,
Well I know Nick is the bad guy, but I liked more the couple Nick-Lizzie than Jack-Lizzie. There was more passion and love at first sight...

What do you think?

Well Jack was going to propose after three weeks with Lizzie. In the movie the letter that Jack gets from the artist guy says that everyone in England has thought Jack was dead for about a year, and Nick doesn't propose until after that. I mean, Nick might have been into Lizzie at first sight, but she wasn't into him.

I just finished watching both parts today and I thought that Nick was creepy, manipulative, selfish and evil the whole way through. The actor was good, but that character was a bastard. Even when he first met Lizzie and was obviously overly flirty with a girl he knew someone else was so in love with and she loved him too.... Nick was just gross to me. His weird little speeches about feeling the bombs, not wanting to go to the shelter and how he loved the war were just weird. If I'd been Lizzie I would have told him to back off. Nick was bizarre.

What was the deal with Lizzie making Jack wait outside for days with flowered before she'd talk to him? Like he did something wrong... If it was because she felt foolish, I could see that, but it wouldn't be very nice to take it out on Jack because she was embarrassed that she was duped. I'm not saying she should have jumped straight into bed with Jack, although it IS Tom Hardy, but she could have done something so he wasn't standing around with flowers while she ignored him for days. Weird.
