Tritter v House

They were basically had the same character fault, but Tritter removed people's ability to do their jobs to try to get his way.

Tritter was brilliant.

Eh, I think any antagonist on the show ended up the same fate anyways.

None of them were ever going to go out on top over House did.

Detective Tritter was played by David Morse. He's a good actor, he played George Washington in the "Adams" HBO miniseries and played another police officer (more sympathetic this time) on Tremé.

I saw that arc as a cautionary tale. I think DEA and law enforcement are entirely too involved in doctor prescriptions. I hear of doctors second guessing themselves when considering controlled substance prescriptions. Many will err on the side of caution. It's government putting their very heavy thumb on the scale.

It's flat wrong and immoral.

reply

And yet you Aldo hear cases of doctor shopping and how many famous people have killed themselves because they got prescribed medicine from too many doctors who didn't give a crap.
Doctors are not above the law and the Tritter arc showed that.

I thought I was the only one who liked Tritter and thought he gave House what he deserved.

One of the high points of the show for me. Yes, it wasn't realistic and the ending was a bit rushed, but otherwise I don't think Tritter came off as just doing it for personal gratification although there might have been a bit of that in it, but he actually thought he was doing the right thing even though he bent the rules to do so, which definitely mirrors House. Morse is a fantastic actor as well.

The whole arc definitely worked to deepen House's character by putting him in an unusually stressful environment.

I constantly felt Tritter had a personal vendetta that one of his family members or something was degraded by House. It seemed like he came into the clinic with a lame ass story and was only after House!

reply

Agreed.

But Tritter was actually the better man. Even in the end he congratulated House and hoped he wouldn't lose this opportunity. But like most addicts....he did....many times over.

reply

Sort of. Tritter was much more aggressive than House ever was though.

I hatted Tritter with all my heart.
He really pissed me off. He tooks his personal vendetta way too far and used his position to make House's life miserable just like Gobler another idiot who was envious of Dr House who may not have been the nicest man on earth but didn't deserve either of those two guys.

But honestly im baissed in Favor of house within the female audiences im Cuddy who would defend and support House no mattre what. I loved House for bieng so good at his job and he had a great sense of humor.
