Kuncaitis/Zdazinsky

So, this chick doesn't want electricity or modern plumbing for her children, but she has frosted hair and is wearing lipstick and lip liner in every shot?

reply

she's a hypocrite.

i found it odd that she claims living so simply is living the "Christian life," so why go on a TV show. That woman is a bitch and her youngest daughter will turn out the same.

Yes, how did she even know about the show if they don't have tv?

Agreed. Cult was the first thing that came to mind to me. It's stuff like this that shows how hypocritical christians are. I love how she wouldn't shut up about their religion and how that makes them all such good people but as soon she stepped into the other family's house she immediately began negatively judging everything about them before even meeting them. Isn't there something in the bible about not judging? lol. The really sad part is that they've turned the kids into little cultists as well. The whole family is so incredibly bigoted. The christian wife couldn't even hug the gay friend of the other wife. She could barely touch his hand. And the youngest daughter freaked out as soon as she heard that the other wife had a gay friend. The father wouldn't even barely say the man's name and said that he was a bad person and didn't like him even though he never met him. These kind of people make me sick. Such hypocrites. And like someone else brought up. If they're so off the grid and pious then how did the wife know about the show in the first place? And why does she have highlights in her hair and wear lipstick? lol

Agreed. The Kuncaitis mom and dad were a bitch and bastard. They brag about being Christians and doing what God wants but they are bringing their children up to judge homosexuals and people they haven't even met? Well karma has a nice way of getting back at hypocrites and I've seen it before with families like this. Here is what will happen: the sons will eventually come out as gay or bisexual and the girls will all become whores and get knocked up before they are married, probably end up in porn.

Now the Zdazinksy's aren't perfect by any means, I do agree that the little tyke needs a bit more discipline but Big Juicy was boss. She seems respectful, open minded and someone who believes let people be who they are as long as they aren't hurting you. And I love how she stuck up for her bff and called the bigot father a bigot.

reply

"Cult!" Absolutely. I have known cultists before, and this nutty family has the markers ALL OVER it. That woman was VILE. She was a smug, self-righteous, evil viper. And her husband? BIGOT BIGOT BIGOT!!!! And he is training his poor, beautiful children to follow in his bigoted footsteps and locking them away from the world so that they never learn differently from outside of his cultist influence. I was actually angry at Big Juicy too. She was a beautiful, tender-hearted person who learned and integrated and grew. And clearly, she craves intimacy from the people in her life. But her soft heart played ALL of her cards at the meeting table and played directly into those disgusting people's hands. What angered me was when that HATEFUL and VILE family used her tender heart to validate their own self-righteousness. What disgusting, smug, narrow-minded vipers they are!! Both of them. Dripping in their own pride and arrogance, belittling and humiliating others who do not share in their own judgmental attitudes, and judging everyone different as themselves as inferior. I live in the Bible Belt, and I have seen examples of Christian open-heartedness and a modeling of love. The Kuncaitis Family missed that memo, and all they have to offer is judgment and hate.

reply

OMG! Thank you for bringing that up. Not just the frosted hair, but the make up. I could get into other things like her clothes and accepting the ride in the limousine, but please.

You can adopt plain way without pretending to be so self-righteous. They do work those kids like Oliver at the workhouse. there are chores, and then there is children for work. Honestly, I wanted to back slap that whole family. That is not to say Big Juicy's son didn't need boundaries. He did. But that other family's kids are going to be totally messed up. Why? That's because God and Jesus will teach them a few lessons in tolerance. I think they'll be saying "Mr. Princess" more often than not in their future.

While I understand some of the merits of going "back to the land," I couldn't watch much of this episode, mainly because of her.

Get the house some electricity! You don't have to hook up to the grid; there's wind power, generators, solar power, and other options. Really, when the brightest light in the house is in the dining room, and that looked more like the light from the cameras, you're not doing your eyesight or your children's eyesight any favors.

Also not doing them any favors by not preparing them to deal with the world, or not trying to give them the computer/electronic basics to be employable or go further with their education. Public libraries have computers.

I saw the horse and buggy in the background in the beginning of the episode. This family is not Amish. I don't remember how they make their money, that was probably explained in one of the times I walked out - my Mother watched the entire hour - but they seemed to keep to themselves instead of trying to be part of the Amish culture/neighborhood. Today many Amish choose to have electricity and plumbing, while some don't.

The Amish also get out and interact with the world. I've met many of them in this area, and we're not that close to any big concentration of Amish families. I got the feeling that this family does not interact much with anyone but themselves.

I also wasn't happy with the father's strictness/emphasis on "I'm the head of the house; it's my way or the highway." Yes, he can back it up as biblical, but the Bible also says to not push your children to wrath (paraphrased), and the parents aren't modeling compromise and teamwork. These skills are beneficial in general, and by not modeling them, they could be contributing to their children's abuse or toleration of abuse in the future. "I'm head of the house, what I say goes, and if you don't like it, then I'll abuse you." Have heard about that happening, and it's not good.

No one has anything to say about the lazy Vegas mom? She wouldn't let the kids do chores so the husband had to do his chores, their chores and obviously the Vegas wife didn't do any chores so he was stuck with that too - she didn't seem to get that. His work on the farm was hard enough, then she dumped all that extra work on him - did not like the Vegas wife - and the passive husband was not a good father - I'd take the hard working Christian couple over the flashy over-ripe party girl and the passive father (and I'm not even Christian) at least she seem to learn to be a better mother - and the Christian mom was going to take 20 whole mins to herself daily -

Big Juicy was NOT an alcoholic. What she was -- was someone trying to hang on to the last thread of her adolescence life, and she married a man who let her. He was an enabler to her devices. Her child is at that formative age and needs his parents to set real boundaries. Princess was the only one, and whether you have a nanny or manny, that is never a good choice.

It's not fair nor correct to call the other home a "Christian Home" either. It was a workhouse for the kids, and a woman carrying the Bible without knowing what was really in it. I would guess that that family was worse than Big Juicy. Her life was out there for all to see, and she made no apologies for it, where as the so-called Christian family "ran away" from what was hounding them and thought by "hiding" in the Bible and Christianity, they think they're doing right. They are not either.

Wasn't that the point, though? That's what I thought she was trying to do - to show/prove to him how much the kids were doing, where he couldn't brush it off or escape it. Would they have moved to the farm if it were not for the kids and their labor?

I'm not sure how I feel about the young man's reply of "he didn't want his Dad doing his chores." It seemed odd in a way, but grown up/responsible in another.

I had to laugh at Vegas' Mom dramatics in killing the chicken. That's regular farm stuff, nothing special. She was lucky that she didn't have to wring its neck, or watch it run around headless for a bit before it realized it was dead.

reply

It's much more PC to rag on the Christian family.

reply

The obvious bigotry was one thing, can't really say anything about it but sad. Even if I don't care for a grown man calling himself Princess. He seemed like a good guy who genuinely cared for the kid. Vegas dad can do a better job but I'm not sure I saw him neglecting his son. I really didn't feel like we got a full view of them because most of the show was spent on the farm or with Princess and Fake-Amish mom.

She really just came off as a bitch quite frankly, I thought Vegas mom would be at first but she came off better to me than farm mom after all was said and done. The way she acted at the meeting randomly insulting Vegas Dad saying he had no personality - when I didn't see one from her husband either.

At the end of the day she didn't change, ten minutes of free time for the kids is nothing at all. IMO it is just going to lead to them rebelling, and hard...not dissimilar to the Amish who leave the community and end up living crazy lives. They could have found a better balance to chores and kid time. Also, her holier than thou attitude had me sick.

I absolutely hated the so called "christian" parents. I know plenty of christians that are loving and understanding and I consider the mother and father very close-minded and judgmental. The fact that you can raise your kids to hate someone they've never met just because of their alternative lifestyle is awful. I would have loved if the farm kids got a chance to meet Princess and actually get a chance to interact with a gay man and find out they're not bad people.

And the whole BS about moving from a nice house to a farm bc they think that's what God wants them to do is so annoying. I never understood how people think they are closer to God by refusing to get with the times. People hundreds of years ago lived that way because they had no choice, not bc they felt like it. I can understand that the mom didn't want a microwave bc she wanted a home cooked family meal but no lights? Really? I can't ever remember hearing about someone was smited bc of electricity. I really do hope those kids grow up and get the hell out of that house. I really don't believe modern electronics were invented to defy God.

Mr. Barky Von Schnauzer!

Actually, I didn't love his nagging her to drink. It was hard to get a feel for his real personality. It's kind of hard to imagine what his life would be if the mom stayed home more and did more parenting - makes me kind of wonder if he didn't encourage her to make those changes because her behavior created a need for him.

reply

Maybe the Wife Swap makeup artists and producers wanted her to wear make up for the show.

I wouldn't want to live with either family because the Las Vegas family practically spoils and neglects their son Jacob. The farmhouse family reject electricity and live off the grid in this day and age is also ridiculous.

reply

The supposed christian mom has a LinkedIn account and so on.

reply

I really didn't like her for some reason. She was very judgmental. Who was she to striaght up ask the Vegas mom, why does she dress that way? That's none of her business!

Yes, being a true Christian is suppose to be about love, and nothing but understanding,.Not to shame the lifestyle of others, and making judgement,.yet she wore make up, rode in style which is against most Christian life..let alone how this family find out about the show when they have no radio, television?obviously it was about getting money..far from what Christians do..Big juicy of course has some changes and did a lot of changes to her lifestyle after this show and her child was out of hand as most kids are,.that woman could have lights her family were not Amish just a farming family, no need to have children as slaves,.the horrible judgement though on the way folks are living was too much,.they were there to swap lifestyles not what, and how they are as a person..your absolutely right though..

Hi everyone.
Im Marissa AKA Big Juicy.
Thank you all for watching the Season Premier of my family being featured on Wife Swap.

Firstly, to clarify up some of the things that everyone is stating here or answer any questions, Im totally OK in doing that. I respect people and I understand why some could be misguided thru editing or maybe misunderstand.

I am not an alcaholic. I never have been. When I go out I order a $5 tonic water with lime. Princess likes to drink beer.
My husband never goes out, ad spends endless amounts of hours reading to Jake and doing projects.
When we were in the casting process, I had just only had my new breast implants for about a month and was out everynight.
My husband or myself are not absentee parents. My husand was deployed many years ago to Iraq and AFghanistan which prompted me to hire Princess in the house.
Princess was not fired. We set him up in a condo on the strip, and he has a job now.
I spend alot more time with Jake, as far as our Disney outings, and Check E Cheese. I get him ready for school and take him there. I cook and clean.
My husband works very hard to provide the life we have. Im very happy with my husband and we work together as a team.

Angela was edited to make herself look alot better than what you saw. I underwent some very harsh scruitiny, false accusations and she even trew something at me at the table. She insulted me over and over for no reason.

I dont understand why she chose this lifestyle for her family. Her children were very sad. I left them all those pretty clothes and shoes at the farm.
I really did love her children.
Matt DID deserve to be called a BIGOT. he said "I dont know him from adam and I dont like him"
I was fearful that I couldnt protect princess from Angela. Angela was sneaky, she never told Princess that his sexuality was a disgrace. she wanted to be the hero. Until I blew her cover at the end.

There was no make up artist. Angela wore make up, she has cell phones, a blog, youtube videos, twitter and facebook.
Shes a hipocrite.

Angela had a ery evil, demonic sinister aura. I felt like I needed t douse my home with holy water when I got home.
Please dont call me names THEATER.. you dont know me and you are acting exactly like her... if you want that judgementality, you should probably got live off into obscurity like she did. Noone wants to deal with hate or bigotry... God isnt life hard enough??!!!

Im happy I had this experience. The famly was wonderful I think about her children everyday... Angela onthe other hand was a nightmare...
I forgave her a long time ago...

keep calm & Big Juicy on!
Marissa

Have to say that it seems like an alarming lesson to tell young girls that life is easy when you are pretty. There seems to be an ongoing stress on "pretty". These kids seem to have an impressive work ethic and a lot of skills. I wouldn't go to the lengths those parents did but I certainly see some advantages to their experiences.
