Well good bye LOST board

I used to be one of the hard core regulars here back when the show was still on the air. Had a lot of fun times and met some cool people. Kind of sad to see it go.

Same here. I loved coming here when the show was on and posting and reading. Hoping not be spoiled but took my chances.

Of all the boards this was my fav at its peak.

Did SecondScout finally break the board?

No, it was probably Lucus. He finally got what he wanted. First he deletes the Wiki now he deletes IMDb.

Well, I hope not! A few scenarios I think are plausible:

1) This is the work of Kropp.

2) It's the Stranger's doing.

3) After muh consideration the Colonel has decide that these boards are too ridiculous for him. people are quoting things and being silly/rude/lies.

4) Megan Craft found a way to complain about each and every board on the 'Db.

5) Aphairer interference.

Personally though, I blame the pigeons.

Shut up talking spaceship! I'm trying to watch my favorite sci-fi show.

I think this might be the beginning of the Phoenix Protocol.

On the upside, at least you'll have some free time on your hands. Maybe you can take up knitting? I'd love a sweater for Christmas.

Shame it has to go. I think one of the major things that made Lost so special (despite being an awesome show) was discussing countless theories every week between episodes on these boards and researching the tonnes of screencaps of Dharma logos and all kinds of other stuff that people would post on here.

Lost is IMO the MOST THOUGTH PROVOKING TV series in the Adventure/Drama/Fantasy/Mystery/Sci-Fi genre. No other Board comes close to staying as relevant after a series has aired their final episode 7 years before. Just think, Lost ran from September 22, 2004 - May 23, 2010!!!

I finished rewatching tonight, and I Still have questions. Where in the world are those who are watching for the very first time going to get even a mediocre of their questions answered? I know this is Just a TV show, yet, Lost was actually the first show to raise the question of Heaven & Hell/Good vs Evil/God & Satan in a contemporary setting. It didn't preach to the choir, nor try to sway One to this or that opinion. It was also the first show to have an all-inclusive, or diverse cast. It had race/religion/gender/ethnicity/ sexuality/disability/socio-economical/and interracial mixes with perfect casting.

I'm truly going to miss the Lost Board.

I had a dream once where there was a button that deleted every single post on every board, and I clicked it. It was something everyone knew about, but I was the first person or the first in a long time to ever push it. I guess what I didn't know is that it was going to say that it was me who pushed it. I logged on to some board and there every thread was about how much I sucked, new ones being made every second. I didn't have a solid reason behind doing it, it was the same drive that made me slam the car door on my brother's hand when he clearly said "Martin, don't shut your door." This is how deep into my being IMDb got it. I had bad dreams about it along with failing school and losing my mice.

Have you ever considered dat dese dreams mean something?

I'll never forget how fun this board was in it's heyday,
when the show was on.
And I barely remember what I had for lunch yesterday,
so that's quite an impression.

And I'll miss visiting the boards of the shows I watch,
reading the reactions of a particularly good or bad episode.

I'm really sorry to hear this, and i'm still hoping IMDb have a change of heart at the last minute.

For my old chums who might still post here - I pretty much grew up with you guys and wish you well. 

It's grimly ironic that writing this post, the first in years, has given me the 'Lost board' bug again for a minute. Man, I wish this show was still on TV!

It was only a sketch. But I think when you're mapping hell, a sketch is all you need.

Sawbucks, funny, I read this in Sawyer's voice. You did, you sounded just like him.

flammy, us 'newbies' aren't here to steal your thunder.

We know we missed something special by not being on the IMDb Message Board while the show was running. Our newbie loss. But please see it from our point of view for a moment. We love Lost just as much as you. Not only won't we ever feel the camaraderie that you've grown to love about this board, but you've had an extended length of time to debate every little nuance of Lost. Our newbie loss.

Just because someone is a newbie to the board doesn't mean they're a newbie to Lost. I'm saddened this Board's regulars think anyone who is considered a newbie shouldn't have or express an opinion in the Lost Threads. I was under the assumption everyone had access to the message boards.

I apologize if your feelings got hurt.
