The clapping scene...

lasted so long it seemed sarcastic. Just my two cents.

There was a fish...in the percolater.

I was confused too, I thought they were clapping for her.. they didn't know for sure that she was behind the power failure, I doubt it was announced what was the cause. For all they know, the crazy grieving woman could have just escaped in all the confusion to look for her dead daughter.. Why cheer her capture! The crowd reaction was just odd.

And seemed more like the applause was aimed at her rather than at the guy they were giving it to.

I just came on here to ask that, were they clapping for her or clapping to see her arrested? Guessing by everyones comments, they were clapping to see her arrested. But I just didn't understand it..

Oh, nice socks, man. Nice socks. Nice socks.

It seemed to me they were clapping because she was in custody, they held her responsible for having an unscheduled stop, they figured she was a total whack job, and they were venting their frustration over the whole deal. That's the way I interpreted it. (And, as such, I didn't think it was too long. They were very frustrated, and they blamed her for it, and they were showing their frustration by clapping.)

It did. Of course, more than ever, people LOVE to be sarcastic and use any excuse to display a "look at me. I'm one of the majority of a-holes" attitude. Pathetic, insecure twits, really.

These pc-obsessed times are getting old.

I'm watching it currently and came her to say the same thing. It started to get annoying how long it lasted. I don't think anyone would do that in real life. Kind of brings down the whole movie I think.

reply

I think it was meant to be sarcastic.
