Who thinks mr.Ford is too old for acting?

Who knows they can always be the new Barnaby Jones. I loved that show, Buddy Ebsen had to be around 75 when he did that show and he was something else. The only thing I think is odd is sometimes these geriatric action stars have wives that are way younger then they are and they have small children. They would be 90 before the kids get married. I was pleasently surprised and shocked to see that in the War of the Worlds Tom Cruise's son was a teenager. And he is not as old as Ford or Michael Douglas or other long in the tooth action stars.

It's not really his age per se. It's just that Ford clearly seems to have little or no real interest in acting anymore. If you look at his last several films, like this one and, say, Hollywood Homicide, he looks like he can barely muster enough enthusiasm to deliver his lines audibly. He mumbles. His facial expressions are wooden. This is a guy who doesn't want to be there. He'd rather be at his ranch in Jackson Hole. Why not retire and do that?

Not at all! I'm a huge fan of this actor and I think he'll never be too old for acting!

Not too old to be acting, but some of his roles seem a bit tired sometimes. I'm excited about Indiana Jones though. And it's not like he's horribly frail or anything, he's not close to 80 years old. And he didn't beat up the bad guy the bad guy was clearly winning at the end in terms of strength, he merely seized the opportunity and a weapon. But the cliched reluctant hero thing may be wearing thin. He should do more not-action movies maybe. Indiana Jones though! Woot!
