my cousin is in this movie,so he got a copy and i saw that
i dont know where else they are though

The filmmakers are still pushing for a theatrical release, so no DVD yet. If they get something together it'll be in theaters (limited run, Canada-only likely), then to DVD in due time (where it'll be available probably in most independant rental places.

I caught it at the Toronto Film Festival, where it got a great response. I thought it was pretty funny and recommend it.

I work at a movie theater in Ontario and we constantly have trailers playing in the lobby on TVs. Phil the Alien plays on those TVs from time to time so I can only assume that it will be getting a theatrical release.

In canada the film is being released by Lion's Gate and will be out in September in the US Screen Media has the movie and you will have to wait till next year - Mihkel Harilaid

Maple Pictures (was Lions Gate) has just announced that the film will be available (in Canada, at least) on August 23, 2005. SRP is $29.95.

i know I am a bit late on this thread but i didnt hear about this movie untill recently.

To answer the above question, you can pick it up at your local video store,
but again i know i am months late in this response...so...hey

But I would like to say that this was a damn funny film, I was breaking into tears at parts. Since I am a canadian its funny to point out all the people you notice, like from tv commercials or from canadian idol & of course SCTV and red green show not to mention others...but hey maybe its just a canadian thing.

anyway...good movie, and i will be purchasing it once i find it for sale......

I saw it at my local Blockbuster (northern ontario). I also saw it at my local video store.

Until today I didn't even realize it was Canadian and not readily available.

i got my copy on dvd in a package with satans little helper for five dollars at best buy. i found this funny, but satans little helper is pretty much the best movie ever.

I wasted 1.87 on this trash at a local gamestop. this movie really sucks, not even up to par for a so bad its enjoyable b-movie. it just draged and was not funny. with the exception of the part were the agent kills the kittens in the box as part of his training, that took my be surprise.

its not that i don't get this movie or its humor the problem is that i do and its not funny.

Fine then you tell me all the reasons you find it funny. I’d really love to hear. Because apparently i don't get self humiliating Canadian humor, a horrible script with at times random characters.

I mean wow an alien takes human form gets drunk then with his pals start a Christian rock band that in turn leads him to a base under niagra falls, the base of the agency trying to catch him, all along the way dodging assigns and eventually taking one of his pals with him.

Sounds like genius to me.

You’re the one that has to be an idiot to actually find this crap funny, it is tone deaf humor. like watching outtakes from yet another nickelodeon film. it throws one mindless joke after another. because stupid people are funny, so is beer, talking animals, and forming a Christian rock band. its like the creator just ripped off episode upon episode of south park.

All give the director credit for actually making a film, which is not easy. But the result if just filler toilet trash. A movie so bad that I’ve shown it to my friends just to show them how bad a movie it really is. This film apparently is a disease that has spread onto this bored and on to you my friend.

Sorry I guess STUPID people are funny.

I watched it last night and found it really amusing. Things to like: old school man in suit effects, surprising choices in narrative (bar band?), interesting music. More later.

It's on Netflix Instant online now. Watching it. The fast on the cover of this movie creeps me out. Also the cover looks like something from the 90s
