What did Sarah think would be the outcome?

When Sarah first started having sex with Brad, what did she hope would be the outcome? Did she hope from the start that they would fall in love and be together? And if not, did she think she was just going to keep on having sex with him behind his wifes back forever and yet never develop feelings for him? And even if they did wind up together, did it not occur to her that eventually, Brad would start cheating on her with yet another new more exciting woman? I don't know how it is for other women, but there is no way for me personally that I could regularly sleep with a man and not start to feel emotionally connected to him.

He did ask her to run away with him. I think they would have, if not then, eventually.

I'm not convinced she was thinking that far ahead. She was just enjoying the moment.

And women do this. They can and do develope feelings and they can't pull away. She wasn't getting emotional support at home so this is what she did.

I think the emotions were there well before they started sleeping together.
