Mortal Kombat

It's funny, I thought the plot of DOA: Dead or Alive was too simular to Mortal Kombat.

1) Robin Shou whom played Liu Kang had a cameo as a pirate leader and appears in Tina's introduction scene and reappears at the end of the film.

2) Three women, a thief, a princess and a wrestler are chosen to take part in the DOA martial-arts tournament.

3) Kasumi goes to the DOA tournament to solve the mystery of her brother's disappearance, only to discover Donovan the tournament master was responsible.

4) Donovan the tournament master is the villain

5) Helena Douglas is the daughter of the previous tournament master whom is deceased.

6) Tina Armstrong is trying to prove that she isn't fake.

7) At the beginning of the film, Kasumi is informed about the death of her brother at the temple.

8) Kasumi fights Ayane in bamboo treetops

9) After confronting Donovan and escaping from the island. Christie, Tina, Helena, Kasumi and Ayane prepare to engage in combat with warrior guards of a palace.

10) Christie and Helena fight each on the beach.
