My guess is because
1) Tiny knew that the family would eventually get killed by the state police as they were all wanted
2) he possibly overheard Wydell tell Baby, Captian Spaulding and Otis that Mother Firefly was dead and he wanted to be at the last place his family was whole at
3) he was always housebound and wasnt cut out for a life on the run. The Firefly family farm was all he knew (because of his disformity and never traveling far from the farm) and he didn't want to leave it so be decided to stay with it til the end

Yes, this is more or less accurate. He wasn't up for leaving the house and—as you say—wasn't cut out for life on the run. Sid Haig and Bill Moseley just did a live commentary for MovieCrypt's 48-hour marathon and both acknowledged that Rob Zombie had originally written a line for him where he was going to say "my home is here" or "this is my house" or something to that effect. They scrapped the line but the sentiment remains in what you see on the screen. share
