Morgan was correct to agree to supersizing.

Think about it - of course McDonald's wants you to supersize - more profits for them. Why would McDonald's encourage anything but buying more, more, MOAR??? They don't care about your health, just THEIR bottom line.

reply

His extremes in eating there 3 times a day and supersizing meals made his results irrelevant to me. I don't know anyone who does that. Add to that the milkshakes with more calories than the quarter pounder, medium fries and diet coke that I get about once or twice a week and I can't relate to it. Made for more dramatic results, for sure, but what's the story on the effects of the 99.999% who don't do what Morgan did?

reply

I understand your reaction and I can agree with it too. But whatyou have to keep in mind is what he tells you: 22% of the US population comes at McD more than once every 2 days.

Also, the fact you don't know anyone with that average, doesn't do anything about the results: McD's (or any fastfood I am sure) isn't the best type of food to eat a lot.

Bottomline is, was the food ok, there wouldn't be a weightgain, sickness, elevated values and so on. I am sure you are intelligent enough to value that outcome.

reply

It's not that the food itself is so terrible, it's the complete excess quantity of it that did him in. And don't forget he was drinking a very large soda at just about every meal too. I'm sure he only drank diet occasionally so he could eat/drink everything on the menu at least once. There's no reason why a person who eats at McD's or other fast food 2-3 times a week can't be somewhat healthy if he/she eats a sandwich, small/medium fries, drinks water instead of soda, and exercises regularly.

reply

When this was filmed McDonald's and Burger King had salads on the menu ror years this man is a liar and the documentry is a fraud!

reply

I'll bet a HUGE chunk of that percentage are just coffee drinkers

reply

But if they want people do they why did they stop with the option in the first place. I know that they claim it doesn't have anything to do with this movie, but how do you know. But if you remember in his rules he would only supersize if they asked him. And why should they care about your health, it is all about money that is what they want, and more and more and more and more and more of it.

reply

But don't forget that it was apart of his rules that he would only super size if they offered him or asked him if he wanted it supersize.

reply

I don't want to live in a world where I can't supersize everything!

McBigMac
McHouse
McCar
McBody

all supersized!

reply

Well I guess it was nice knowing you

reply

Which they were supposed to do every time. It's a better value, and lots of families spilt the fries up to save money. No more though.

reply

Then why did they stop supersizing?

reply

That decision is only known to them, they claimed it had nothing to do with this movie

reply

A lot of fast food, high calorie items had been getting heavy criticism from the government before this documentary. They decided to self regulate rather than push the man to get involved.
