How many gay guys love this movie

What does sexual orientation have to do with liking this film?

Namaste, and good luck.

And I'm another straight guy who loves it... although I am from Boca Raton, just south of where the movie was filmed/took place and it is a very believable story.

I'm gay and I thought this film was terrible. The shoes thing was just a pathetic attempt to get silly harcodre fashion gay lovers to go see this atrocious film.

reply

No, dear, the shoes thing is a cinematic attempt to get women to watch because women love shoes.

And I'll never figure out why men, either straight or gay, insist on watching chick flicks which women can relate to more than men and then dump all over these movies because, ahem, they can't understand them.

Straight guy here. Generally wouldn't give a film like this the time of day, but i saw it in High-Def and IMHO is an excellent movie.

I agree. Cute flick and Cameron may have been at her hottest since "There's Something About Mary"

I guess old enough, mature enough, appreciative of people treating each other right and forgiving each other's faults, and married to a wonderful gal who asked, "Are you sure you want to watch this? It doesn't look like your kind of movie" and watching it anyway to say "In Her Shoes" is wonderful.

I don't know what it is past the cliches that makes this movie popular with gays. I wonder if it's that grown-ups, regardless of which side of the fence they land on, appreciate romantic and familial love. That's what this movie has--yet it never gets soapy or Oprah-ish.

Now, hand me that bag of pork rinds and turn on The Hunt for Red October, dammit, before I get all splootchy!

I don't know exactly if sexual orientation matter... but straight and I liked this movie.

I agree! Not to say that the wedding scene in this movie inspired me, but I'm having a very low key beach wedding this weekend and the band at our reception is a reggae band. I LOVE the wedding scene in this movie! I just saw it again last night and loved it even more, as I hadn't seen it since before I planned my wedding. But definitely...I think more weddings should be like that. Spending $15,000 just on the 10 minute ceremony is ridiculous.

No one, not even my gays, would remember what kind of overpriced flowers I had. So why bother, right?

The future is just a f-ing concept that we use to avoid being alive today.
