Just watched this last night, and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The thing I found most interesting was watching their creative process at work, the way in which they write their songs.

Does anyone know of any other good documentaries about bands/musician's writing/recording albums?
I really don't care what genre of music, I'm fairly open to that.

It's not as good and feels much more like a selfmade documentary, but the new Foo Fighters one is pretty enjoyable. It's called Back and Forth. It mainly revolves around all the leavings of members and the difficulty around that. It spans the whole story of FF, though.

The Last Waltz is a classic. You have to see that. Just watched Dave Grohl's Sound City that's good too.

I loved It Might Get Loud. The Edge, Jack White, & Jimmy Page in a documentary of their music. Priceless to see Pagey playing air guitar!
