Damn, so much Pam hate?

On both here and Reddit I see so much contempt and hatred for Pam. I'm up to Season 9 now and I honestly don't get it. She has her flaws and annoying traits, but it's like she's criticized for everything she does and held to an impossible standard. She just can't catch a break.

I don't think she was right all the time, but things that she says or does get so blown out of proportion by a lot of the comments I've seen.

She was a very passive person at the beginning, and when she finally developed a backbone and talked back to people, she's a bitch? That doesn't make sense to me. Whenever she talks back or "gives it back" to someone, it's always in response to something crappy they say or do first.

You have characters who can be downright cruel like Dwight, Angela, and yes even Michael, but it's Pam who gets lambasted?
