OK, i'm gonna try this just to see different people's reactions to the movie. Put down

1. What country you live in and...
2. Whether you liked the film or not (give it a mark out of 5).

Please don't put anything else such as scathing comments (as in unreasoned, childish or trollish). And, obviously don't comment if you haven't seen the film (The-Bartimaeus-Trilogy, bsg tns, batowich, Zarove etc.)

4/5- A seriously flawed film with an awful ending, but... well it's Northern Lights: on the big screen! I've been waiting years for this! Plus, the soundtrack was amazing.

The 'ending' wasn't supposed to be the ending.

Your comment reminds me of someone I knew who came out of a theater after watching 'The Fellowship of the Ring' puzzled and angry about its 'conclusion' showing Frodo and Sam staring at distant Mordor.

In both cases the filmmakers intended to film the second and third volumes of the respective trilogies and bring them to their conclusions. But Sauron lacked the resources of The Magisterium so his fate was sealed while they survive and prosper.
