Morons trying too hard to copy 'Goodfellas'

Dyer at the best of times is a pl0nker, and this film had it's merits, but it sank to copying the gritty "What's so f'king funny' Goodfellas scene and the fierce voiceover narrative of Trainspotting?

As usual, British gangster and thug films make their protagonists look like comedy, plastic gangsters, whilst Scorcese does it best.

Eh, hard to disagree. Books good tho. Film was passable.

That scene was so blatant. At least Guy Ritchie's stuff doesn't pretend to be real, they're all stylised.

The pub scene where Billy pretends to be angry with Zebedee is a very bad, obvious rip-off of the Tommy "do you think I'm funny" scene in 'Goodfellas'. It stinks and the acting is embarrassing. Stupid things like this almost ruin the film and weren't needed.

Not cool.
