Nancy Gordon (Spoilers)

It bummed me out they killed her off, I thought she might make it after she got out of the barn, then even when she was caught in the trap...I still hoped. But, they let her get out of the trap then die. Stupid. It was also stupid to kill Brooke Shield's husband. It didn't even make any sense.

In the book, Nancy Gordon was not killed off.

It did make sense for Samantha to kill Betsy's husband since she hated men and liked Betsy and saw that Rick had hurt her (at least in the book). Samantha also wanted Betsy to know that she was not above killing to get what she wanted.

This whole plot was pretty convoluted though. Made a good read (not sure about the movie). Another poster on another thread wondered why Samantha didn't just stalk Martin to get what she wanted.

I wondered the same thing - but that wouldn't have made as interesting a story. LOL

The story was just too convoluted.
I love Lou Diamond Phillips, and also Scott Glenn
Brooke Shields had a couple of really good scenes...
and Marilu Henner was beautiful...but she had a small part..as it turned out..

it could have used script makeover....

way too long however...

Scott Glenn was expertly cast in this as a sadist and serial killer. His cold and calculating demeanor, coupled with his craggy features and the cinematography that often made his eyes appear soulless, made his performance memorable.
