Was just wondering, as I can't find it anywhere, how much does it cost for them to make each episode? Between material, experts, explosives and permits it's got to be a hefty bill. I'm just curious to know if it's ever been posted anywhere. By the way, I'm not talking their salaries.
shareMultiple sources from last year suggest that the cost per episode is around $200,000. Considering that it depends on the episode, I believe a range of $100,000-$300,000 wouldn't be far off the mark.
shareThe cost of each episode is obviously going to be different as it would depend on the content and cost of materials and work needed etc. It's not as if they set out to spend a set amount. They will do research and have arranged budgets. Or do you instead mean what was the budget per episode?
shareIn some episodes they destroy multiple cars, employ large cranes, fly helicopters, etc. In others they just use up some bullets or electricity. The cost per episode must vary widely. There were a few episodes in which they must have gone through a few thousand dollars worth of duct tape.
