Why do you think I said honorary? I know the Nobel Prize is for direct achievements in the respective fields, but the Peace price is a bit of an odd ball in this one; people can be nominated without any direct achievements to be seen (case in point; Donald Trump)
So maybe they can make some sort of exception. Just a nod to them for all they did for science.
