Anyone Re-Watching Like Me?

I watched this faithfully when it was originally on. I am re-watching now and loving it all over again.
Anyone else re-watching?

Began today, am on episode 3. Great show.

never watched it during the original run, but watched it when it was on Netflix streaming. Since then probably watched 4-5 more times. Love it. Leary is incredible.

Yes, love it and I agree, Leary is fantastic. Kinda wished he would step in the water again with something gritty and new to watch!

Thanks for taking the time to respond!

I only finished episode 2, seems I get sidetracked a lot.
But love the show and will continue to watch!

Just finished a week-long marathon of all 7 seasons. What a great show and THE best finale ever.

WOW.. what a binge you had! I wish I had the time for that!
thanks!

I was on vacation.

I watched it faithfully through season 5, just didn't have the time to watch to faithfully for the last 2 seasons. Re-watching now, and am reminded of how really, really good it was until it went off the rails.

Seems all shows get to those points... but still worth it, I think.
Thanks for your response!

Definitely. Similar to Dexter, which I also re-watched recently. It feels like they start out with an idea, a character, a story they want to tell, but if it's popular they have to pad it out for as long as possible. By the end I think they felt people were so invested in Tommy they couldn't end it appropriate to the story.

I thought about it.

im re watching too just got to season 4.. awesome show and theres nothing good on tv these days for adults cheers

reply

Yes still love love this show

reply

Yeah, on episode 6 atm. I love this show for one reason and one reason only. It's real and not politically correct.

reply

Yes.. agreed, they speak like it is real, not washed over. I am thru season 1, then got caught up with another show for now (Mr Robot, no less), but I will revisit this again.

reply

Yes, but I'm finding myself skipping over most of the scenes with Sheila in them. She became insufferable after a while.

reply

I loved the hot slutty scenes with Sheila but that was about it.

Disappointing because I love Callie Thorne as an actress.

I was glad to find this show on DVD! I loved it when it aired originally. But it's been a long time since I saw those episodes, so it's like seeing it all over again for the first time.

I bought seasons one, two and three. I just ordered season four. Great show. What a bunch of flawed, messed up men! But for all their flaws, they were witty and made me laugh.

Unfortunately the women characters did NOT make me laugh! Janet and Sheila, what a couple of nasty, neurotic brats! I coud not stand them the first time I saw this show. I hate them slightly less this time, but both women deserve a rap in the mouth! lol The miserable rich broad (played by Susan Sarandon) who kidnaps Franco's daughter really needed a trip to the woodshed. What an arrogant, nasty b*tch.

The only woman I really liked was Tommy's nutty sister played by Tatum O'Neill. She played her as someone who was straight out crazy, not needy or whiny or neurotic, just nuts!
