I'm taking about the Asian assassin sent to kill Beatrix but left when she found out she was pregnant. Can they just abandon a job like that without consequences from her boss or something? I doubt they would have sympathy for Beatrix like the assassin did. They might have pulled a Bill and murdered her for it as punishment.

The mission was to protect Wong or whatever the name was (let's say 'Wong' because I can't remember the real one).
They found out that Black Mamba was going to kill Wong, so they needed to eliminate Black Mamba, so Wong would not be killed.
The 'assassin' (which might not have been an assassin, but might've been just on a mission to protect Wong from Beatrix, killing Beatrix might not have been a priority over protecting Wong from being murdered by Beatrix) actually ACCOMPLISHED her mission of protecting Wong.
As long as the main mission and goal is accomplished, what do the details matter?
