How would you guys react in this situation?

If you had drowned someone how would react to it?

For me I could possibly keep quiet but would eventually be driven crazy by guilt and would either confess or kill myself.

Mrs Voorhees is watching you!

I would tell some relevant person that a guy who was trying to break up a fight on a boat pushed one of the combatants away from the other, inadvertently knocking him into the water, and said combatant failed to swim to safety despite coming up for air many times, ultimately resulting in his death by drowning...or something like that

I'm proud to say my poetry is only understood by that minority which is aware.

The birthday is what would get them in trouble. That's the big problem. Ultimately cops can question/interrogate to the point where one of those 5 kids would slip up and spoil it. That's pretty simple police work IMO, it's things I would question even as a civilian. "You just got in a fight with him, why would you invite him to your birthday party?" *mumble mumble panic* "When is your birthday?" *F'd!* "Why would you lie about your birthday?"

Something would come up. The kid bought a gift and wouldn't be surprised if his mom bought it.. even if she didn't know that's a LOT to hedge your bet on.

Harder to cover up then some of you think. You're kind of screwed at this point. Yes it was an accident, but there was a premeditated intent to do harm to someone (whether resulting in death or pain/suffering) that would be pretty obvious to a court of law. There has been cases in the past where this happened and the defense got plenty of jail time.

When you're the cause of killing someone (even accidental) it's just BAD news these days in law. Even if you're drunk driving and it's a COMPLETE accident, murdering someone this way is a class A felony and often results in significant prison time. It's actually better to hit/run someone and say you drank when you got home out of nervousness (resulting in at worst class B). Cops can't prove you did it while drunk. Saves you A LOT of prison time and US legislature is trying to overturn this law (but have been trying for FAR too long to get anywhere).
