X-Men: The Last Stand - A Lesson in How Not to Make a Superhero Movie

Brett Ratner's X-Men: The Last Stand. Where does one even begin? It was Fox's first (but not last) attempt to film the Dark Phoenix saga, but it was rife with behind-the-scenes drama. Bryan Singer, who had made the first two X-Men movies, quit the series to go make Superman Returns, and the studio, in a spectacularly ill-advised decision, hired Brett Ratner to replace him. The result was a movie so spectacularly awful, the writer, Simon Kinberg, tried to make up for it by writing and directing his own take on Dark Phoenix, which somehow ended up just as bad! The one good thing about it? Kelsey Grammar is a pitch-perfect Beast. But, otherwise, whew - get ready to dig into one of the worst superhero movies ever made.

What's worse, X-Men: The Last Stand or Dark Phoenix? Let us know in the comments.
