Agree with the OP. It's cute for a fan film but the dialogue is cringeworthy and the Batman costume is dreadful. It's nice it got such a reception at Comic Con but...Comic Con fans are not the most discerning audience. I watched it after seeing the "Behind the Mask" documentary about the making of the short and everyone in the doc was hyping this thing like it was the most amazing thing since the invention of the toaster. I saw the short on Youtube and I was baffled at all the hype. The xenomorph costumes were good but there's not much story, the dialogue was stiff and the acting was so-so.
