How accurate is this movie compared to original story of batman?

Out of all superhero origin movies thus far, Batman Begins is by far the most accurate adaptation in that regard. Its first half is almost replicating frame by frame stories such as The Man Who Falls and Legends of The Dark Knight. There are some cosmetic and non-essential changes, but, overall, the movie is very faithful to its comic book material.

It was well done and gave backstory that had only been known to us rather than seen! The only misstep was him not knowing anything about The Joker when cannon had Batman "creating" him!  

Well, at least it got the fact that Joker prefers his past...multiple choice!

I had completely forgotten that until playing Arkham City and during his interviews he mentions the vat of chemicals he fell into. Made me glad they left that out in TDK. I like not knowing why he's insane or what makes him tick. In the canon you could at least say "Well the chemicals made him crazy in addition to the permanent smile". It makes it seem like anyone could've fell in the vat and wound up that way.

Him just 'showing up' in TDK is awesome. I feel it better emphasizes the "you created me" deal rather than him literally being created in a pot of magical chemicals. The Joker simply exists because The Batman does, and that's his reason for being.

You're giving Dr. Hugo Strange ammunition that if not for Batman, none of those super criminals would exist! Well what are people saying about "Gotham?" Bruce is still a child and Penguin, Catwoman, and others are already being felonious! 

There's no one definitive origin story for him. The most consistent element is his parents die. All things considered this is definitely among the best Batman origin stories though.

Wait, Bruce Wayne's parents die? Why don't they ever show this in the Batman movies?
