One Of The Best Movies Of All-Time

I really think most people know in their hearts that no franchise based off any graphic novel character has done it better than Iron Man and what RDJ has brought to the table. Those trying to say otherwise are more than likely not being honest with themselves.

I was watching TV yesterday and Iron Man was on as was Raiders of the Lost Ark on another channel. I went back and forth between the two. It dawned on me how perfect both films are and not just for their genre. Intelligent, fun, smart with PERFECT casting. Knowing what has come after Iron Man (Avengers, Captain America, Agents of SHIELD, etc.) it makes that film mean even more. As a film fan, I realized that it just doesn't get any better and I was enjoying two of the top 40 films ever made. YES... regardless of genre and in the history of motion pictures, Iron Man is one of the best things ever put to film.

To those who are wondering why are there are so many users that write same response over and over again, praising each MCU movie: this is one (nutjob) person that has dozens of sock accounts. All he does is he starts different topics on MCU message boards, in which he compliments his own opinion from various different accounts. The guy/girl is sick, so don't bother to question the rationality of his/her actions.

Well . . I like me some Iron Man just fine, but its place in cinema is well below that of Raiders. I give Lucas, Ford and Spielberg extra credit for actually creating an iconic character from whole cloth. As good as RDJ is as Tony Stark, the character already existed.

Plus, so many scenes and lines from Raiders are iconic, whereas I'm not sure many parts of Iron Man qualify. Iron Man was near perfect for what it was supposed to be . . kick-starting the MCU . . but its individual stature is somewhat inflated by the success of the entire Marvel franchise.

So, while I agree that Iron Man is a ton of fun, putting it in the all-time top 40 is . . well, absurd. I mean, what else is on that list? Maybe it belongs on the top 40 of the current century, maybe, but all-time, in any genre? Whoah, boy. Let's not talk crazy.

Spielberg's resume is grand but a lot of Marvel films can hang with the best he's ever had to offer. That's not diminishing Spielberg but proving how well the MCU is humming along.

Still worth noting.
