I was in the first audience that saw it in a test screening in September of 2005.
Trust me. Do not see this movie.
They are making a new one that is supposed to come out in 2007. If this one wasn't so great I would suggest seeing the new one..it has Jake Gyllenhaal in it so it has to be good. lol
Just saw the movie and it was good. It's an interesting subject and it was executed well. NO PUN INTENDED
shareI kind of liked this movie. I kept expecting it to suck more. I agree that the Culkin kid is annoying and doesn't really add much. Do you really think that happened. I'm sick of smart little kids who know more than adults. That's not realistic. Other than that it wasn't too bad. Never heard much about the case before.

It wasnt a baddd movie, but please dont watch it if youre thinking about it, theres no point in watching it because as a MOVIE is wasnt bad but it sucks because its based on true facts so... being the truth facts what they are... its just a waste of time. Too bad cause i was kinda into it while watching at first... but the end ruins everything...

you shouldn't see this movie cause it BLOWS thats why. It's a big boring ass movie with the same ctupid plot as a million other cop movies poorly played out by crappy actors and they slapped THE ZODIAC on it to try and sell their shi...ttty movie , thats also why they changed the title from "in control of all things" to "the zodiac' so dumbasses will go wow a ZODIAC moie and go see it or rent it. but I don't think it'll work this movie sucks too much.

I just watched THE ZODIAC and I thought it was interesting. THE BTK KILLER was by contrast just terrible so if anyone thinks ZODIAC was no good then go rent BTK and see some real crap! I think the BTK director also directed "ZODIAC KILLER" which I hear also sucks ass but THE ZODIAC (2005) is worth watching.

I wish I had read this before. This movie is terrible. It's like a movie where nothing really happens. It just begins and then it ends. nothing really eventful seems to happen at all. Pointless dialogue too.

The zodiac claims to have killed something like 37 people, and how many are killed in this film? FIVE. Well what the hell is the rest of the film about? A crappy cop and his wife who is mad at him and his kid who takes an interest in the case but NOTHING REALLY HAPPENS.
This film is such a peice of s***, and yet its a million times better than "The Zodiac Killer" so i guess thats progress.
Now if only "Zodiac" can be a million times better than this....

seriously. this movie is AWFUL. i listened to the book "Zodiac" and it was such a great story. this movie had a crappy story. who cares about a detective who is "affected" by the killer? the acting is pretty bad and nothing really happens. also, WORST ENDING EVER.
David Fincher's "Zodiac" film is sooooo much better.
The ending was what really happened - he was never caught !
