Did anyone else notice the incubation time and maturing time for the

xenomorphs was WAY too damn fast?

Like one hour? What the hell was that about?

reply

Yes we noticed but most of us dont care

reply

Yeah, there's like 10,000 people that have pointed that out.

It's a plot hole. Like how the alien grew to man-size in a few hours, without any food, in the original movie. Or how Alien eggs magically appear out of nowhere on the Sulaco in Alien 3.

You could easily just chalk it up to quick editing, is anyone really counting how much time is passing in this movie? One second Lex and her crew are walking down the steps, the very next time we see them they're in some hallway.

reply

I always figured the eggs in Alien 3 were laid on the dropship by the queen as it escaped the terraforming plant's nuclear destruction, like a general failsafe to perpetuate the species.

reply

Wasn't it revealed to be something done to the queen to make the chest busters grow quickly.

No

reply

Yes and it is a shame. They should have in the Alien bible that no one shall mess with the life cycle of the Alien. It is brilliant as it is presented in the first two (three?).. yet this did. It removes a huge part of the horror aspect and imo not necessary for their story to work.

How they changed in even further in AvP 2 is unforgivable. Here no facehuggers are even needed. Blasphemy....

reply

Well, you're not going to like Alien: Covenant, directed by Ridley Scott himself.

reply

EVERYONE noticed.

It doesn't matter in this case though, they had to get to the action. Something had to happen and happen fast in this kind of movie.
