Totally stupid question - how big is Genovia supposed to be?

It seems with all the languages - French, German, Italian - it's supposed to be Switzerland. And I know that there is no answer to this, but how big is the country supposed to be? It seems like it's supposed to be absolutely tiny, like Monaco or Liechtenstein or something. Any ideas?

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

The country is supposed to be very tiny. If u listen in the first movie someone says that it is a country between France and Spain and in real life that is the country of Andora which is so small it is not even on the map.

Well, if Genovia is modeled on Andorra, then it's area is 468 km or 181 square miles with a permanent population of 85,000 and over 10 million tourists each year. The official language is actually Catalan, but . . .?! it is a monarchy, being ruled by 2 co-princes Archbishop Joan Enric Vives Sicilia and President Francois Hollande of France.

I actually think Genovia was inspired by Monaco. They said in the first movie it was between France and Spain. In the first novel, it said that French was the country's official language, hence why Mia's grandmother made sure that she learned to speak French fluently while growing up. I'm guessing it was similar in size to Monaco, and had extensive trade with countries like Japan, Italy, France, Spain, and Scotland.
