No I thought it was great - very very funny and not without merit either. I just found out that The Mail slated it too - which explains why I liked it - as Mail readers will be shot when I come to power :)

Ahh I liked it too.
It's a little more coarse than usual I suppose, but that don't mean it's not funny.
I think this film has unfortunately become a victim of negative hype. New film coming out, highly anticipated, two of the newest of the new wave British actors, lot of expectations on this film, critics expecting more in the vein of humour that Vegas and Crook are normally involved in....but when the critics saw the more coarse (real) humour of the film they liked it but thought twice about displaying the fact that they could find this type of humour funny...and so they pann it instead, and once one critic pans it, they all do, coz they all want to be seen as coming from the same crowd...no-one wants to be seen to stand up saying "This type of humour is really funny and i really enjoyed it", while you have about 100 other critics all saying that it disgusting and purile and sick humour....it don't make you look good to like it, so it just gets panned just coz everyone is panning it.
In the world of critics, the one critic who doesn't agree with the majority of other critics is a critic on their way out

shame really, coz I laughed me knackers off at this film

mhhh i also larfed my arse off to a lvl that i need a O2 tube next time i see't. I see my pathetic life in it and laugth till i went blue.

i don't understan why the bad critic. this is a masterpiece like porkyes americna pie and so.

I watched this the other night with my girlfriend and we both thought it was funny. So obviously the critics have got it wrong, which is very unfair as a lot of people will avoid seeing the film just because some folk dislike it. I mean, I enjoyed this more than the second 'Lord of the Rings'... does that mean I have bad taste in films? No, it means I exercise the right to enjoy what I want to watch... and so should everyone else ^__^

Well after registering with imdb.. providing my age, zipcode and the number of hairs on my balls.. i almost lost my train of thought.

The poeple who didn't like this movie need to lighten up, this movie is a good example of our lame lifes trying to get laid. we try to be the best at everything, trying to be perfect.. we live in a world where women paint their face before going out, wear a thong so they'll get attention (but hey, women wear thongs becuase its comfy to have a thong wedged in your **** right?). Not to many poeple know what they want to be, but they know what they dont want to be. These characters represent the 'normal' end of society of in which poeple fear they may be or at risk, subconsciously.

Its in my humble opinion that; the poeple who didn't like this movie were insucure tight arsed elietests. If you didn't like this film but dont consider yourself a elietest than i suggest you turn your head to the right becuase your mind is going one way but you're actually going another route. So what if this movie was crude and harsh, its what the world is like.

If you liked this movie, check out the canadian tv show called "trailer park boys", this little independant show from canada now aires sometimes in britan and australia but you can download it online. Its amazinly funny and worth checking out. But if you dont find degenerate drug dealers that live in a trailor park and their crazy stories funny, then dont bother. But this show is a gem.

Think for yourself, question authority.

Truth be told its not the greatest movie ever made, but it still made me laugh. I think it was better than what the majority of people said it was, i liked it.

Hey, I'm coming out to defend this movie. I laughed my head off, and cannot wait to tell like minded people to see this movie. I watched it with my girlfriend and she loved it, despite having earlier reservations. Ok, it's not going to win any oscars etc, but if you want a laugh watch this. I'm a big fan of comedy, and this movie has some great scenes, like vegas singing 'Come on Eileen' in the half empty social club, brilliant. I was at a cafe when I picked up the 'Daily (hate)Mail',it was left on the table,and when I read the slagging it gave this film(imagine big over the top headlines)I knew I must see it. It's a look at the grimey side of life, and the film is deeper than many have cared to notice. The fact vegas wants to return back to his wife is quite touching..
Do yourself a favour, get some beers in, order a curry, and stick this film on..
..You might want to eat your curry first though..

Sometimes gross, sometimes downright sleaze but worth sitting and watching with the guys; a straight-faced subtle humor-laden bit of charm, but nudity would have cheapend it.
