Two Questions---Is this movie good and where can I get it ?

Is this movie worth locating and watching .... I love the P & P story so would I like this?

I wouldn't exactly call it good, but it's cute. I'm a Jane Austen fanatic who watches all adaptations of her work as well as productions based on her work. Once I got over the Bingley character being a complete dork, and Jane inexplicably being an Argentinian exchange student (that cannot be understood most of the time), I actually enjoyed it.

The "run down" in Las Vegas is funny (you'll see what I mean if you decide to watch it). I'm even tempted to run down The Pink Bible they keep referring to in the movie as a source of humor. I'd look for it at your local library first if you don't think you want to buy it. Or possibly in the film section of a Half Priced Books store (it doesn't appear to be available through Amazon, B&N or eBay).

I happen to love this movie. I bought it from www.deseretbook.com. The movie was produced/written by Mormons, and Deseret is a Mormon (LDS) bookseller. I also bought the soundtrack from them. I love that too.

I got it the other day from Big W (not sure if they have that in America?) for two bucks. I don't love it, but I don't regret buying it.

I thought it was great. It's one of my favorite versions. But then again, I'm Mormon and went to BYU, so it's written for me. Personally I couldn't stand "Bride & Prejuce" (the bolly version); and the exclusivities are way less overt in this movie than that. There's NOTHING particularly Mormon about this movie--the only "inaccessible" part for some people is that everyone's chaste. They're all roommates instead of sisters, going to college together and going through the agonies of the dating game--but again, being a bunch of Mormons at BYU Wickham sneaking Lydia off to marry her is a huge deal that a lot of people don't get when in their minds they're setting it at a normal debauched college atmosphere...
