Metallica's Middle of the road, not metal late nineties albums Load & Re-Load are also quite similar, if not as amusing!

With that kind of intensity and vocals, but also some classic melodies:

Judas Priest. Albums:
Painkiller;
Jugulator;
Demolition;
Nostradamus.

Fight (Halford's band). Go see "Into The Pit" on youtube.

Two Bruce Dickinson's solo albums:
Chemical Wedding;
Accident of Birth.

Slayer:
Show No Mercy;
Reign In Blood;
Season in the Abyss.

King Diamond and Mercyful had the same song, but a different vocal type.
Same with some Megadeth albums.
Also Testament.

And, of course: Pantera’s “Cowboys From Hell”.
In this particular album, the band already sound very heavy, but didn’t lost the Judas/Mercyful influence. And Phil Anselmo still sing in a “Halford” style.
