I really liked Happy Endings. The DVD jacket I rented it in has one critic's quote: "Why aren't there more movies like this?" And I wholeheartedly agree.
But I take it there are other movies like this. So can anyone suggest other similar movies? Not necessarily similar in plot but overall tone/style/mood (you guys know what I mean).
I hear The Opposite of Sex is a good one. What else?
The Opposite of Sex is the obvious one. If you liked this movie then I'm pretty sure you should really get into The Opposite of Sex as well.

Though it's not comedy, but rather drama, try "Thirteen Conversations About One Thing." A great ensamble cast, with plot structure similar to that in Roos' films. And "The Oppisite of Sex" is a must see, as previously stated.

"Short Cuts" and "Magnolia" are, in my opinion, the two greatest "hyperlink" films ever made. Those are both over three hours long, but are more emotionally complex and less about sex and more about a variety of profound topics including addiction, relationships between parents and children, and relationships between couples...two of my all-time favorites that is strongly recommend.
