Loved this. What else should I watch?

I really liked Happy Endings. The DVD jacket I rented it in has one critic's quote: "Why aren't there more movies like this?" And I wholeheartedly agree.

But I take it there are other movies like this. So can anyone suggest other similar movies? Not necessarily similar in plot but overall tone/style/mood (you guys know what I mean).

I hear The Opposite of Sex is a good one. What else?

Crash
Between Strangers
Jologs
Identity

and others I forgot...

Dot the I was crazy amazing and kind of similar to this. If you liked this, you'll love that!

Playing By Heart has an uncannily similar structure (as well as a star-studded cast) in its parallel storylines though it certainly was no favorite of mine.

me and you and everyone we know
i heart huckabees
big fish
the dreamers

that's going off the whole happy ending part of the movie...they're also similar in lots of ways
me and you and everyone we know is probably the closest to that

i loved happy endings as well
maggie gyllenhaal was in it :)

Lovely and Amazing

and obviously, the one that started them all, Short Cuts

maybe also Things You Can Tell Just By Looking At Her, but that has a high CFQ (Chick Flick Quotient)

the opposte of sex is brilliant. if you want ensemble movies that interrelate try boogie nights, magnolia, crash, go - anything like that. for quirky comedy that's similar try any coen brothers movie (especially fargo) or try something like sideways, adaptation, wonder boys is absolutely excellent and has the same kind of offbeat humour as well as kicka** acting or go and see the brilliant little miss sunshine that's just come out.

"Nashville" by Robert Altman (country music stars and regular folks intermingle in 1975 Nashville. a classic)

Altman's "Short Cuts" -- intertwining characters - set in Los Angeles

"Boogie Nights" -- intertwining characters in 1970's/80's porn industry / LA

"Magnolia" --- characters intermingle in LA's Valley

"Lovely & Amazing" - -Catherine Keener is the best

"Citizen Ruth" -- Laura Dern, Mary Kay Place and a bunch more terrific comedic performances in this film on the United States war over abortion rights.
