Movies You Love That Others Don't

Heres a list in no particular order:

I Heart Huckabees

Art School Confidential

Fatotum

Most of these are independants, so I guess a general public dislike comes with the title. I'll think of some others later.

They say love and money don't mix, but you can't blame Harry Lockheart for trying...

Quicklist for those in a hurry: Cabin Boy, How High, YoungBlood, No Escape
-----
I don't get it, most the movies listed are liked by most who see them, or are at least critically well-recieved. You guys just aren't reaching enough;) Indy film does not equal unliked. There are at least a few best picture nominees named.

I love Cabin Boy:D Now, that is a disliked flick. I like How High a lot, too. A movie i think is underrating cause on the surface it looks just like any other dumb college/pothead/jackass movie, but really it has great jokes. And i have had a soft spot for No Escape, ever since i was young. Oh, and i gotta mention the hockey classic Youngblood.

Now those are some unliked movies;D Not saying ya'll picked bad movies, thats just the problem. I, and most people i know, love the majority of films mentioned so far.

Really guys? I mean, really? The OP was asking for movies that you like that the general public doesn't and I see people naming things that did quite well critically and financially. I mean - Lost in Translation, Blue Velvet, Eternal Sunshine, Fear and Loathing, Eraserhead, a Clockwork Orange? Are you kidding me? Half the movies people are listing here are on the imdb top 250 or were nominated for Academy Awards.

I work at a movie store so I'm a bit more aware of what the general opinions of movies are rather than just my own interpretation. I think the biggest one was The Happening, I was recommending it at first, but then after I had a quite a few people return it and say how badly it sucked, I stopped. I think in all the time that was a new release and people were actively renting it, I had one other person say they enjoyed it.
I also really enjoyed Cloverfield, but I was surprised by how many people hated it. I'd say about half loved it and half wanted their money back.
Oh and I don't dare mention how much I love I Heart Huckabees, that's just asking for trouble.

SCOOP (Sure, there are plot holes, but I found this one SO enjoyable. Most people dislike the predictability, but I thought it fit the characters.)
THE BALLAD OF JACK AND ROSE (Everyone says this movie feels amatuerish, but personally I think its beautifully done and has a really fresh storyline. Plus Daniel Day-Lewis is great, as usual.)
BIG FISH (Tim Burton fans disliked the fact that he strayed from his usual formula for this one, but I find it very imaginative and touching. One of the few movies that improved upon the book.)
MERMAIDS (I love Cher movies, this one in particular. The characters are fantastic individuals and the script has the loveliest dry wit.)
ZODIAC (You either love or hate this movie. I loved the atmosphere it had, and the direction was great. Some people hate that it isn't a real horror type movie, but I think it is more an exploration of evil than it is a freak-fest.)
SHE'S THE MAN (This one is embarrassing. I know some people really like this movie, but I put it on here because it's a movie I was expecting to hate and actually found myself enjoying it thouroughly.)
MY SUMMER OF LOVE (This is a very strange movie, but for some reason I really liked it. It's hard to explain; it just has great vibes.)

Edit:
I cannot believe I forgot CRUEL INTENTIONS! It is pretty much my number one flick, and though most people dislike how melodramatic it is, I think it's a perfect break from watching fantastic-10-academy-award-nominated movies all of the time.

Anything by Wong Kar Wai or Quentin Tarantino seems extremely divisive. Wong Kar Wai is definitely one of my favorite filmmakers. Tarantino I like quite a bit, but not as much as his obsessive fanboys do.

Other films that seem extremely divisive that I love:
All About Lily Chou-Chou
I Heart Huckabees
Away With Words
Rushmore
Magnolia
Last Year at Marienbad

To a lesser extent, there seems to be backlash against a lot of overall well received movies that I personally love within my various film discussion circles:
Slumdog Millionaire
Citizen Kane (!!!)
Lost in Translation
No Country for Old Men
Anything by Jean-Luc Godard
