Did anyone else cry at the end?

I cried at the end of this movie. I can't wait to see it again. I loved Meredith.and I loves Cybill. Everyone accepts meredith because she is right for Ben, not Everret. and if anyone can find the angel foer the tree it will be meredith. She is the only one able to fill cybills place. she beomes the matriarch.

When I saw the movie in the theater, I remember tearing up at the end when they lit the tree. Even now when I watch the movie on DVD, I can tear up at that point. Amy putting the ornament on the tree is always a trigger for me.

There are a few teary moments for me throughout the movie....one being at the end when you see Amy wearing Sybil's ring, etc. But, the scene that always elicits the actual cry is when Kelly is saying goodnight to Susannah and then Judy Garland singing.

Actually, Amy is a carbon copy of her mother...I believe she would be the "new" Sybil..yet perhaps a little nicer version because the deal with Meredith has taught her a few important life lessons, and she's happy with Brad, which is also due to Meredith's butting in..which was Meredith's way of "getting even" with Amy for being mean to her...lol. Amy has also lost her mother, and probably realizes how short life is and how you need to treasure the people around you. In any case, she is Sybil made over, and Suzanna is Kelly made over

Only out of joy.I just wish the whole family had followed suit and kicked the bucket.

Yes! It's a sad little movie. ;_;

Add me to the list of those who bawl at this..

1.) The shot of Diane Keaton's pic at the end. I'm a sobbing mess.
2.) The scene between Everett and Mom when she's explaining why she doesn't think Meredith is right for him - and I just get that he realizes not only is she right in what she's saying, but that she's also passing on what last bit of maternal advice she's ever going to give to him.

I tear up every time during the part when the picture is handed out.

I have always cried at the end of the movie, but now it really hits home even harder for me. In July 2013 I lost my father to Cancer(very suddenly), I was very close to him and seeing the picture of the pregnant Sybil reminds me of a picture of my father holding me when I was a baby, and now that he's gone, the ending makes me cry even more than before.

Sorry to hear this califcutie709. There may be other movies that do this to you. This is your first holiday without your Father, so your reaction is quite normal. Even after several years, I still get upset with certain films. Take care.

Aww thank you, that's very sweet of you. Last year's holiday season was very difficult to get past. That was my first holiday season without him, and thank goodness for my family helping me through it all!
