Did anyone else cry at the end?

I cried at the end of this movie. I can't wait to see it again. I loved Meredith.and I loves Cybill. Everyone accepts meredith because she is right for Ben, not Everret. and if anyone can find the angel foer the tree it will be meredith. She is the only one able to fill cybills place. she beomes the matriarch.

i did when everyone else was with the picture, i almost alway cry when other people do. and a little bit once i realized Sybil was dead.

All the way from when the tree lights were turned on at the end -- Only because of Sybil though, if she hadn't have died it would have been the happiest of endings.

reply

Her dying was the only happy part of the whole movie.

A little when they turned the tree on. I thought McAdam's expression was heart-breaking. And Brad was so sweet.

"And then he started cheating...especially at magnetic travel scrabble."

NOt at the end, but I almost cried in the middle from the sheer horribleness of this movie.

LMAO! omg...

but yeah, I always cry at the end as well. Looking at the picture of Cybil with Amy always starts the tears for me.

It was just on tv last nite and I was quite literally sobbing at the end, even though I've seen it many times before. I actually love this movie. Maybe not so much in the theater, because it had some serious undertones, but the more I saw it, the better I liked it. A great cast!

No, I left the film feeling angry. I was actually glad the bitch was dead; she was such a horrible person, it actually made me feel that way. I just wish more of the Stones had died; it might have improved the movie.

I always cry several times during this, I love it so much. Yes, at the end, but also when they open the presents Meredith gave them, and during the sequence while Judy Garland is singing.

reply

Yes. Like a baby.

When Amy and Brad are putting the last touches on the tree, you notice that Amy is wearing the ring that her mother was wearing in every scene. It must've been one of her favorites.
So I thought it was sweet detail to include.

Mmhmm.

I cried at the end. I don't think Meredith will become the matriarch. I think she will just fit in a bit more comfortably without losing her original personality and attitudes. Everyone adjusts. This is something I don't think would have happened had Sybil lived!
