So he just stayed and died?

What a retard. He didn't even try to get out!

reply

He knew there was only one way out, which had too much fire for anyone to get through. He knew that if the others kept trying to get to him they would die also. He was dead either way. The others survived. Too bad he couldn't walk through fire without getting burned like you!

reply

He didn't try to get out? What do you think he was doing the whole movie?

reply

Common sense OP ,I would like to see you get out of a burning building lol it's not so easy

reply

^^This. He tried the best that he could but the only way to get to him was engulfed by flames, the firefighters would were trying to save him would've been killed.

I am watching the final scene and thinking...how long was he trapped? During that time couldnt someone call the local government and ask for an APC? Plow through the wall.....through the fire and get him? Is that not possible?

reply

Err, they were on the 11th floor

Jack couldn't have gotten out as he would have been burned alive, as would have the other members of his company that were trying to rescue him. Realistically, he would have died a lot sooner than he did due to smoke and toxic gas inhalation, as he was out of breathing air in his pack. In the first place, firefighters never(and should never) go anywhere in a burning building alone, as Jack did when searching for the victim that he eventually lowered down into the bucket below.

reply

Obviously he couldn't escape through the control room as it was engulfed in flames, but why not backtrack back through the wall he came and look for a way out that way?
