Is it The Godfather? No. But it's a respectable and realistic crime film with very solid performances. It's the kind of movie they used to make for adults to back in the day. The kind of thing you find on television now in its new "golden age".
shareI just a watched it for the first time and I thought it was really bad. Seemed like they were trying hard to make an Oscar worthy movie by putting in the most clichéd elements. The racial protest was completely stupid. It was obvious the mom did it within the first 2 minutes of the movie and the characters were all fiercely unlikeable. Every interaction between characters were awkward and unrealistic.
