Hmm underwhelmed or was it to overrated?

Finally got a hand on the Deadwood DVD tried to watch the series since it got good reviews. And HBO created my favourites Gameofthrones&Westworld and ofc OG Sopranos etc. By that i mean i like the productions they made now and in the past but i always never got time to see deadwood. As any series the first episode may be a hit or miss, i was surely lacklustered by the "pilot" quality and i kept going until episode 6....

I love western but historical Wild bill and calamity jane??? omg wild bill was good but not enough screentime *_* beore killoff. And calamity jane I always saw her as a female Doc holiday but this version???? wtf did they go overboard on accuracy or their version was crying and mentally ill all time. Deadwood gets better`??
I cant get pass episode 7.....so slow and boring

Given your apparent grasp of spelling, sentence structure and form, I'm not surprised at your reaction. Its probably best to just move on to something else.

Some shows like Deadwood are so expertly crafted, the writing, story and acting are just too inaccessible for people like you.

Stay away from deadwood. I suggest you stick to the basics

Curious that you didn't mention the Wire as one of your favorites... until you said you though DW was slow. (Sopranos had multiple concurrent seasons of boringness so again, you contradicted my expectations a second time.)

It is definitely a character study though I felt that the plots/subplots began immediately and continued at a decent pace. Missing an episode wouldn't lose me completely, but not an ideal way to watch.
