5 Movies I Wish I'd Never Seen List

1 Along Came Polly
2 Duplex
3 My Boss' Daughter
4 Marci X
5 Titan AE

In all seriousness, I don't want to criticize "Along Came Polly" *that* bad. It had some funny moments. And if I had a choice of watching a movie like this or Ben Stiller in a drama, I'd choose something like this. But, I wasn't satisfied with how I felt leaving the theater. I think it was the writing. Oh well.

Beautiful Mind??? Talented Mr.Ripley??? im curious what kind of movies you do like. Beautiful mind is on my top five favorite movies.

1.Charlies Angels "full throttle"
2.Stark raving mad
3.T3
4.Mortal Kombat
5.Devils Pond

reply

Ha, Mortal Kombat? That is probably the best movie made on a video gameo. But I totally agree with Charlies Angels full throttle. It was so bad and so unrealistic.....no gravity, people dodging bulets and flying like superman and so on.
Hey you forgot 2 movies: "Freddy godfingered" and "Lobsterman from mars"!

reply

1. Thirteen Ghosts
2. Soul Survivors
3. 8 Mile (I didn't even finish it, it was so bad)
4. Scary Movie 3 (All it was, was people getting injured and beat up)
5. Basketball Diaries

reply

Let's see:

1. Royal Tenenbaums
2. Adaptation
3. Chicago
4. Sideways
5. Eternal Sunshine...

Oh wait, never mind, that is my list of five of the GREATEST movies from the past 5 years. You guys are absolute morons.

reply

okay to be original and not keep repeatin what every1 has said..
1) autumn in new york(the previews showed the ONLY funny/interesting parts in the whole movie)
2) what women want (it started good, i liked the idea, but something went wrong, it got and stayed boring, almost walked out)
3) Seabiscuit (a lot of older ppl in this theatre.. but i must say it was hours too long, way too drawn out)
4) phone booth (couldnt even watch the whole thing, is that language really necessary? i go to h.s and dont hear it that bad.. every other word??)

reply

How can you guys forget about The Cat in the Hat?
Or Honey? Stuck on You? Julien Donkey Boy, Gummo?
Da Hip Hop Witch? Boat Trip? The House of the Dead?
All wretched movies.

reply

I think I must have some sort of problem, because every movie that I have ever seen, I liked. Even movies that I definitely should not have liked (according to everyone else). For example, I greatly enjoyed Gigli, Kate and Leopold, In The Cut, Rat Race, Charlies Angels 1 & 2! and also, My Boss' Daughter!!! Somedody tell me what's wrong with me!!

Well, the way I see it, it can go both ways. You're either EXTREMELY open-minded or you have no discriminating taste. (Hey, I'm not trying to be insulting, just find this interesting!) Did you really not cringe at Jennifer Lopez saying "It's turkey time. Gobble gobble." in Gigli? Seriously?

Also, I'd recommend you watch a Mystery Science Theater interpretation of some bad movie like "Mitchell" or "The Atomic Brain" or "Sidehackers" and it may help you with your problem for those are truly awful movies and the MST3k boys will help you see the light with tons of humor! :) :) :) :) :)

reply

i really enjoyed my bosses daughter too. but i got fired shortly after we broke up.

reply

5 worst

2) Chicago (endured through the whole movie, can't believe it won so many awards!!!)

3) Dumb & Dumberer (watched like 20 mins, closed, never to be seen!)

4) Anger Management (got nothing against Adam Sandler, in fact I really watched it because of him!)

5) Punch-Drunk-Love (same as above)

In an effort to be original...
1. The Avengers (didn't make ANY sense)
2. When In Rome (worst mary kate and ashley movie EVER! usually theyre funny to laugh at, but this one was soo boring!)
3. The Santa Clause 2 (1st one is soo much better)
4. Bring It On Again (no, dont even try..lame comebacks like "dont get all up in my koolaid")
5. Peter Pan (wooden acting, they screwed up the story)

"She seems to be wearing some sort of yeti costume..."
--About A Boy

reply

Scary movie 2/3 (The first was ORIGINAL and funny, but I think the third was the worst...what HAPPENED to Cindy?)
Anger Management (I had no wish to see it again)
How to lose a guy in 10 days(Kate was nice in it, and Matthew was cute, but the story SUCKED. Nothing against Alex and Emma.)
Sleepy Hollow(I would probably like it now. Since it's a Johnny movie and I was like, 8 when I saw this. But when I was 8 I got scared easily and hid myu head under the covers every night for about a year to ensure that the headless horseman wouldn't chop my head off.)
I'm a big baby about horror movies, I think I bring it too close to reality. So pretty much all horror movies.

With an N?

The Royal Tenewhatevers(If someone can explain to me what the hell it is about and why it should be funny I may rewatch)

reply

The Full Monty was the biggest rip-off I ever saw. That movie sucked, hard. Polly was weak but Alec Baldwin was great.

reply

jonny...the royal tenenbaums is solely a charachter study...either if you love it or hate it, the character development was done well

reply

What about the Movies that never should have been made

Shakespeare in Love
The Hulk
Das Boot
Dragonfly
Signs
Planet of the Apes
Mars Attacks
Jason X
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Freddy Got Fingered

and I am sure there is a heap of others too

reply

Did someone really say that they couldnt watch all of phone booth? what is it too long!!?? its like 80mins. and they crammed a lot of entertainment into that 80 mins. as for adaptaion, if u cant understand clever interlectual movies like that of course u wont want to see them so dont even bother in the future. just some friendly advise

anyways matrix reloaded (cos the matrix seemed so much cooler before it), adrenalin (beware it is the worst movie ever), streetfighter, along came polly (for obvious reasons), mortal kombat II (yes i loved the first one)

WAY TO CONTRADICT YOURSELF PAL.

Here's some friendly advise: "Don't give friendly advice if you're going to shoot yourself in the foot".

You recommend that somebody should not watch clever intellectual movies that they won't understand, and yet you complain about how the matrix reloaded lowered the "coolness" of the original.

The matrix reloaded is probably one of the most complex, deep and thought provoking movies ever made, which is why half the dumbasses out there dislike it so much, they simply cannot comprehend such a deep film, nor can they find relevance within all of it's biblical and philosophical references.

Don't knock Reloaded, just because you don't have a clue.

Adaption and Phone booth were both good movies, but not exactly multi layered.

reply

"You recommend that somebody should not watch clever intellectual movies that they won't understand, and yet you complain about how the matrix reloaded lowered the "coolness" of the original."

-If you enjoy movies on a more intellectual level, that doesn't mean you can't talk about "coolness" in a movie franchise. Fact is I love movies like Adaptation and such, yet I feel I could still say that the first Matrix is a great action flick, and the others had nothing in common with why many (including myself) liked the first one.

"The matrix reloaded is probably one of the most complex, deep and thought provoking movies ever made"

hahahahaha. Really? Ever Made? Dear lord, This makes me laugh. Wait... ... let's look at it again...

"The matrix reloaded is probably one of the most complex, deep and thought provoking movies ever made"

Read it out loud. It's funnier that way...

Das Boot..?? you are bashing the only german classic....you gotta leave the people something....while I am at it...it's funny how many movies are listed here as awful which I love...the ring, lion king (still the best disney film)...so on

I wish I had never see revolution it proofed that Pacino actually made bad movies....

But I am sooo glad someone mentioned The million dollar hotel...a friend forced me to watch this crap cuz he is a sucker for bono...but god the movie is awful I think I started drinking after 10 minutes...at the end half a bottle of vodka was gone and the movie still sucked.....

Rocky and Bullwinckel...I mean it was like watching Robert De Niro selling his dignity minute by minute...

Kung Pow...just crap

Scarface...I was soooo looking forward to see it...than I saw it, I loved it...but now I feel so empty...

1. Cabin Boy
2. Gymkata
3. From Beyond

Here's a couple that got critical acclaim but I thought were pretty tough to get through:
1. Out of Africa
2. Lost in Translation (it lost me)
3. Moulin Rouge

reply

Gattica
Adaptation
Final Destination 2
Grease
Thirteen Ghosts -- This was seriously excruisating. I HATED this movie. It was so retarded.

reply

The Sweetest Thing
The Jackal ( I thought it was going to be the Professional and I got them confused)
Say it Isn't So
About Schimdt

reply

Gymkata...chrissakes, I had forgoting all about that crap-bucket of a movie! or, wait, maybe I repressed the memory....now it is all coming back!!! "find a happy place, find a happy place" (as I curl in a fetal position in the corner).

Cuff, you get the award for the Worst Over-Looked Movie of all-time.

Must disagree with you on "Lost in Translation"

reply

Well, you did see them. Live and learn, and don't piss about stuff.

First off there was a movie on tv i saw when i was like 8 years old, it was called the Peanut Butter Solution. *shudders* Horrible, horrible, horrible. The trauma still lingers...
The Thomas Crown Affair (the one with Pierce Brosnan) *yawn*
Point Break 2... oops, I mean The Fast and the Furious
Scary Movie (not funny, just gross, never wanted to see the sequels)
Austin Powers 2 (the first was funny, second was stupid, never saw third)
Little Nicky (just stupid, not funny)
The Green Mile (look, I liked this movie, I just wish I never saw the scene where the guy gets electrocuted wrong... it disturbed me waaay too much, I had to leave the room)
Lord of the Flies (Awful book, awful movie... sorry but stories about little kids killing each other is just wrong.)
A Clockwork Orange (I sat through the first 15 minutes and left the room, bad bad bad movie)
The Minus Man (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz)
and my friend wants me to add Cold Creek Manor (family problems with a murderer waiting in the background to kill them when they're done, snoozefest).

Sorry but this is such a fun category, especially for people who are fans of Mystery Science Theater 3000, some of the worst movies ever made can make an evening full of hilarity. Diabolik, Pumaman, and Cave Dwellers are some of my fav awful movies.

reply

Let's see...I've seen a LOT of bad movies but in the past few years...

1. Phonebooth (confusing, and very very anti-climatic)
2. The Majestic (just--just don't try, Jim)
3. Angel Eyes (confusing)
4. The Tuxedo (Jackie Chan can do better than THAT!)
5. Slackers (you mean the filmmakers?)
6. Panic Room (more like the fall-asleep-in-the-theatre room)
7. Down to Earth (when you're a celebrity like Chris Rock, NOTHING is down to earth)
8. 2 Fast 2 Furious (liked the first one WAY better)
9. The Family Man (no, you're a businessman, get over it)
10. Keeping the Faith (this provoked me to crank up the volume to R.E.M.'s Losing My Religion)

AND I KNOW I'M GOING TO GET YELLED AT FOR THIS ONE, BUT

11. Pirates of the Carribean: the Curse of the Black Pearl (Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom has NO chemistry whatsoever, and Johnny Depp is better off as a Scissorman)

reply

well i will not yell at you but just give johnny depp a chance. He put some humour in the movie. Couldn't agree more concernig the other two, but separate they are great also (try to see pirates 2:dead man's chest)[and put in balance it is a DISNEY movie]

reply

Fianlly! Someone hates Pirates of the Caribbean as much as I do!! I wish that movie had never been made, and I momentarily lost all faith in the Academy when it was Johnny Depp's first nominated role.

I don't have a very comprehensive list because I don't watch movies thatI think I won't like.

But, here's my list:

1) One Fine Day
2) Pirates of the Caribbean
3) Elizabethtown
4) Derailed
5) The Forgotten
