Why do you say that? I know this is late to the thread, it's just I grew up in Greenwich and there are plenty of nice folks there.

They are very insulated and do not like outsiders. The murder was a sore spot for the town that has almost no crime and no murder. For a 15 year old girl to be murdered there was bad enough it was embarrassing for local law enforcement to make no progress toward finding who did it.

Locals knew that whatever someone like Fuhrman digging around was not going to help make the town look better.
