Chalk it up to being a guilty pleasure, or just childhood nostalgia...but I love this movie in all of its over the top glory.

But, if this movie had been serious it would be the complete failure many consider it to be. I don't know whether the laughs were intentional, but without them this movie would be a bomb.

Fun and it doesn't take itself too seriously.

I don't think it has the same sense of fun as Sommers's Mummy films. The only character who seems to be not taking things too seriously is Carl the friar.🐭

Personally, I consider it a rather abysmal movie. That being said, it's a total guilty pleasure for me. I love the monster designs, the atmosphere, the costumes, and the campiness. Very rewatchable.

From what I can see, it seems like they overhyped this movie way too much when it was coming out, and people hate it because they were expecting a much different movie.

I can't believe 10 years have passed since this came out! I have seen it a few times and I like it, it's fun to watch.

While I don't love it, I sure watch it every time I stumble upon it while channel surfing.

Like someone else said, it's a very rewatchable movie. Just dumb entertainment.
