Who was that guy that Stu was talking with in his motel room. Was he just a hallucination from all of the drugs or was he real? At the end where were they going together, I'm confused!

shareIt is unlikely that the guy was a hitman. Stuey was found dead of a heart problem. I don't think that a bullet hole generally counts as a "heart problem."
It was likely "death" or a representation of God himself.

I figured the Angel of death... Although one thing I could never understand was why in reading Stephanie's negative take on the movie, did she think that he committed suicide.
i just saw this movie and wondered myself, then i watched the scene again.It is defentely not a hitman, and does represent either death or some sort of an angel. Near the end the "guy" says, "Now do you know why im here" and imperioli responds by saying, "yea and thats what my stomach hurtsm so much...so what happens next", and the guy says, "nothing to dramatic, u might even like it", which i think means one of two things. He is going to hell and since stuey was into drugs and hookers, he might enjoy hell, or hes going to heaven if you will, and since he was depressed about his life he might actually enjoy being dead, and in a better place. One other thing to note is that when the guy opens the door, theres a bright light shining, to represent the end......P.S. he was in the oasis motel in that scene, and thats where he died
