the filmmakers have something new to explain in part 5

Let me just start by saying I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!!! It is so much better than 3 and kicks the crap out of the tv series. But by showing Burt's great grandfather Hiram settling in Perfection in 1889 it does now create a continuity error with something Michael Gross said in the first movie. With regards to the town Burt says "That's why Heather and I settled here in the first place. Geographic isolation." So now I think they're going to have to make Tremors 5 to established that Burt settled in what is, in fact, the old Gummer family homestead. So, anyone have a problem with the thought of a Tremors 5 to rectify this situation? I didn't think so.

If they have a Tremors 5, I think that they should either 1. Have a swimming graboid, 2. Have graboids/shreakers/a-blasters attack a major city, or 3. Have a prequal that tells of the origin of the graboids.

I haven't seen Tremors 4, so I don't know if they told of how graboids came to be or not in it.

reply

They didnt say how. 4 Graboid eggs were released from the soil by running water. Thats it. But they do show Baby Graboids. That was kinda fun to see.

I heard that actually Tremors 5 is supposed to be another prequel set before Tremors 2 but after Tremors 1 in i think 1993, London or something...i dont know this was a while back when i read this, but i guess it's supposed to show where the Shriekers first appeared (London, England idk) and they pop up in corn crops i dont know sorry if this is a blur but that's what i heard, except it's gonna be called Tremors 5: On New Ground, this is not a lie either im not trying to get attention lol

IS IT TOO EARLY TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT 5? THERY PROABLY HAVEENT WRITEN THE SCRIPT YET, HOW MANY OF THEESE ARE THEY GOING TO MAKE? I THINK MICHEAL GROSS WILL BE 5 BUT DO THEY KNOW THAT YET? I WOULD LIKE VAL TO RETURN OR EARL AGAIN OR THAT GIRL FINN CARTER PLAYED.

the "Walter Chang" having a chinese accent can be easily explained too.

its obvoiously a family store, so Walter could have come over from china to take it on when the previous Chang died.

reply

Or maybe Walter, Growing up in a very small town, only hearing chinese in his houshold, developed a chinese accent?

in tremors 5 the gotta have the original cast back. now that they know that the graboids now have 3 stages, they all get together and decide to kill them all. however there is a new type, whatever it may be, it better be good, because theres always an easy way to kill one of those *beep* they've got to make them tougher, plus melvin has to die. what else is better than to kill the greatest *beep* in tremors history? cameo appearances would be cool too.

reply

No thats retarded

tremors 4 is great

these movies are about giant worms becoming smaller while growing legs and wings(sort of) I don't think they have to explain location problems...

reply

Yeah i know what you mean. It did kinda foul up the continuity in the series, but when the original "Tremors" was being made I;m sure they didn't know they had a possible franchise on their hands, or that most of the characters from the original would refuse to do another "Tremors" movie, thereby making Burt the main character in the last 2 movies. I guess they improvised for the sake of continuing the franchise. Look at the Friday the 13th series. That series is shot full of continuity errors.

They don't really have to explain anything. Maybe Burt didn't know his great grandfather lived there and it's simply coincidence. I could tell you what state my great grandfather lived in, but not the town.
