Did you Cry?

I cried abit when he gave up his life for her, it was so sad and sweet at the same time, that he did that for her

reply

No, because I overrode the urge to cry with a visit to IMDb (this very visit, in fact) in order to search for the screenwriter's name and call him an *beep*

Sad endings suck, period. When I feel I'm excessively happy, I'll want a film with a sad ending.

Now back to the credits page to find the name of the wanker.

Of course i cried (are you kiddin' me? :P). And not only at the end, but the entire movie.
I knew from the start it would be a sort of tearjerker (actually, i chose it for this particular reason), but considering the rather low rating, i presumed the ending would be happy, with them kissing and making love vows throughout the intersection (in the cab), and living happily ever after (yuck!).
However, i was pretty well impressed to see the ending is quite good, and MOREOVER, unpredictable!!!

Good job! It's a 10 from me (considering that my eyes are still a bit wet :P)

I did not know about this movie until my (then ex) told me to watch it and think about all of the things he has said to me. I COULD NOT KEEP MY EYES DRY! This movie has significant meaning and since the first day him and I started talking again. This movie has opened both of our eyes!

reply

i cried my eyes out threw the whole thing!!! it was so sad!!!! but i loved it.

reply

Now.... You may say that im an insensitive guy and that I'm a rock hearted:p, but I was not able to watch more than 15 mins of this movie - it's quite crap really, it simply not worth it... Sorry to disappoint all sensitive girls, but... :D this is the truth

reply

ive seen it about ten times already and i have cried every time especialy when he gives her the speach at the end man i cry a lot at that part

reply

i guess it's plain and simple...if you've ever loved and lost...you'd have tears in your eyes..because all of us love happy endings...but when an anding like this strikes us..we're reminded of life and how unfair it can be..there's a lesson to be learnt..but the question to ask is " are we even listening?" i hope the person i asked..to see this movie..agrees to an extent !

I didn't find this ending sad. It was very moving and yes i shed a tear but that is not the point. The point is that most of you say that it is very sad and it is just the opposit. The sad thing would be if they would have gone through life without that day that saved their love. As he said having loved 15 minutes or 50 years doesn't make a difference. If he died or survived would not have made a difference because the love that they share will last eternally no matter what. I think that you are stepping on the point of love will beat everything even death or especially death.

The ending would have have worked better for me if they both would have died because then she would not have to be sad for his death. For me dying together is the greatest act of love two people can share.

reply

Hey Mr. christianmork I fully agree with you that the film would have been better if they both have died because then only the true power of love would have been there that death also wouldnt been able to do them apart.

reply

I agree. I can't imagine having to live with that pain. In real life, someone in that situation will never be the same.

No matter how long a love lasts, the removal of it is a pain that only dims, and remains ever so softly for ever.

Movies give a ready escape from reality. For that, I will always be grateful

reply

yeah i had watery eyes at the end when the dude was giving his speech... and when he knew they were just about to be hit and held J.L.H tight..

reply

I wasn't expecting the ending....And I bawled my eyes out....I didn't really even like the movie that much at first. The ending just made me mad.

reply

i cried soooo much when she was in the hospital bed telling lottie about what ian said and when she started crying. i also cried when she wrote that song at the end.

reply

I agree with you. I started crying as well. I'm a gushy for movies like this.
