ATM Machine? How?

Overall this movie really didn't make much sense to me -which is a pity because it had many terrific actors in it, like Close and Walken-... but there's one thing that I just can't figure out... if the wives are not exactly robots but still human beings with microchips on them... how the hell was that woman able to become an ATM machine?????? (I think it was Faith Hill's character, but I'm not sure)
I mean, where in a human body is the money stored? It's ridiculous...

The film was a HUGE MESS. The reality is the "WIVES" were robots when filming started then they had re-shoots and just had these women have "chips".

The original film is 1,000,000 Times better but isn't that always the case.

I handle money as part of my job, and let me tell you, you do NOT want to kiss that mouth after it has spit out a handful of singles.

Bleagh!

The cash dispenser machine is totally retarded (with perfectly fits with the rest of the movie) not just because at the end the women were supposed to be still humans but because... where did the money come from?

ATM machines usually belong to a bank and the bank is responsible for filling it with cash. If you turn your wife into a robot (and it's supposed to be a secret) having the armored truck coming to refill her with $20 dollar bills every week kind of defeats the whole purpose.

It's basically a lame joke, because ATM is a popular expression for something mechanized and convenient. They could have gone with "vacuum cleaner" instead...

Oh, wait, they did!!! (facepalm)

Yeah, it's like they decided half way through shooting to change the building blocks of the film, that the wives were robots. But then, why the heck was there a robot version of Nicole Kidman near the end???????

Plus the Bette Midler character burnt her hand. Or it melted. I can understand that the robots are interchangeable, but to swap between robot and real wife, doesn't just confuse the audience. It's a massive hole.

I honestly think given the budget and a crew, I would produce a better less stupid film. The premise was interesting, but where the Lawnmower man took it's concept and ran, this film just nosedives.
